How To Perform The Ripwalk Drill

  1. Start from a controlled clipper stall.
  2. Set the bag slightly upward and toward your centerline as you perform an uptime in-to-out dexterity.
  3. Hop off the support leg as the bag rises.
  4. Swing the opposite leg over the bag from out-to-in.
  5. Continue turning your hips into clipper position.
  6. Catch the bag on a clean clipper stall behind the support leg.
  7. Alternate sides to complete the drill.

Tips For Learning

Master Stepping First

A solid stepping set makes landing the Butterfly dramatically easier.

Set Close To Your Body

Keep the set controlled. Large sets make the dexterity much harder.

Turn Into The Catch

Rotate your hips and shoulders toward clipper position before the stall.
