How To Perform A Diving Butterfly

  1. Begin with the footbag balanced on a clipper or toe stall.
  2. Set the bag upward and slightly above head height.
  3. As the footbag rises, dive your head underneath its flight path from the opposite side back to the same side.
  4. After completing the dive, perform the Butterfly motion by bringing the opposite leg over the bag out-to-in.
  5. Continue the dexterity while moving into the opposite clipper position.
  6. Catch the footbag cleanly on the opposite clipper stall.

Tips For Learning

Set High

Set the footbag slightly higher than head level to give yourself enough time to move around it.

Move Your Head

Move your head around the footbag's path as it passes, rather than trying to move the bag around you.

Stay With The Bag

Keep your eyes on the footbag as you move underneath it and stay balanced so you are ready for the catch.
