Legbeater is an Atomic Butterfly, combining an atomic set with the classic butterfly catch. It is one of the core atomic tricks and an important stepping stone into more advanced freestyle footbag combinations.

How To Perform A Legbeater

  1. Start from a controlled toe stall as you set the footbag slightly upward and toward your centerline.
  2. Quickly plant your setting foot as you perform an uptime out-to-in dexterity with the opposite leg.
  3. Quickly plant your dexing foot as you perpare for a Butterfly.
  4. Swing the opposite leg over the bag from out-to-in.
  5. Continue turning your hips into clipper position.
  6. Catch the bag on a clean clipper stall behind the support leg.

Tips For Learning

Master Atomic Sets

A solid Atomic set makes landing the Legbeater dramatically easier.

Set Close To Your Body

Keep the set controlled. Large sets make the dexterity much harder.

Turn Into The Catch

Rotate your hips and shoulders toward clipper position before the stall.
