How To Perform A Muted Same Side Butterfly

  1. Start from
  2. Start from a controlled Toe Stall.
  3. Set the bag slightly upward and toward your centerline.
  4. Do not plant your setting foot.
  5. Swing the same leg over the bag from outside to inside.
  6. Continue the dexterity with the same foot that performed the initial set.
  7. Catch the bag on a clean toe stall on the same side as the set.

Tips For Learning

Master Butterfly First

A solid Butterfly makes it easier to understand the timing and dexterity of Same Side Butterfly.

Do Not Plant

After the set do not plant your setting foot until after the dexterity.

Keep The Dexterity Tight

Keep the bag close to your body so the same foot can complete the dexterity and return to the clipper stall.
