How To Perform A Half Nelson

  1. Start with a controlled toe set and place one hand on top of your head.
  2. Set the footbag up and over your shoulder, guiding it through the opening created between your hand and head.
  3. Keep your hand on your head as the footbag threads through the opening and passes over your shoulder.
  4. Stay relaxed and track the footbag as it drops down in front of you.
  5. Position your opposite foot in clipper position and catch the footbag cleanly in a Clipper Stall.

Tips For Learning

Create The Hole

Keep one hand on top of your head to form an opening between your arm and head. The footbag must thread through this opening as it passes over your shoulder.

Set Over Your Shoulder

Use a controlled toe set to send the footbag over your shoulder and through the opening without letting it drift too far away.

Prepare For The Clipper

Track the footbag as it emerges from behind your shoulder and position your opposite foot for a clean Clipper Stall.
