Demonstration of a Refraction.

How To Perform A Refraction

  1. Start from a controlled toe stall.
  2. Set the bag slightly upward and toward your centerline.
  3. As the bag falls prepare to catch the bag on an Inside Stall with the same foot.
  4. Turn and slightly hop off your support leg as you perform a Wrap with the stalled footbag.
  5. Continue the motion into a clean clipper stall.

Tips For Learning

Master Inside Stalls

Strong inside stalls are essential since the bag is controlled on the inside surface before the wrap.

Keep It One Motion

Flow directly from the inside stall into the wrap without pausing or separating the two actions.

Turn Into Clipper

Rotate your hips and shoulders as you wrap so the clipper stall feels natural and controlled.
